It all begins again

Waiting for the bus

It’s been a whirlwind summer. After Beckett was born in April, we put our house on the market, sold it, bought a new one, and moved to a new school district in July.

Today was the girls’ first day of school. Sydney is in first grade, Georgia is starting fourth, and Audrey is headed off to seventh grade. Joel’s preschool starts next week, and then Beckett and I will have two mornings a week of time alone. Hopefully, it will mainly consist of him napping and me getting things done around the house!

There are so many things going through my mind today. Thoughts of switching schools, starting middle school, Audrey being old enough to have a gym locker and a cell phone, and how in the world did Sydney get to be so tall? But I’m choosing to spend today praying for my girls, that they would make new friends, that they would have teachers who “get” them, that they would have a good year.

And Joel and I spent the morning making a special after school snack for them. They will be home in just a couple of hours!

Did your kids start school today?
